At the end of the first episode, Venice gets flooded with jellyfish. This one had a lot of virtual location scouting in the beginning. I grabbed the 3d model of the whole City from Google Earth and scouted the whole city for fitting vistas. Getting the scale, color, and distribution of the jellyfish right was tough, as we needed to keep the real size of the animals as well as preserve the readability of the scene.

I'm thankful that I got to work on the project, especially with all the incredibly talented, professional, and kind people at MPC and ZDF. Most of the art was created in 2020 and 2021, which seems like ages ago. It was in equal parts incredibly fun and challenging to work on the project and it made me grow as an artist and as a person.
